About Us

From the beginning, Modern Chef Designs has been about doing something new and creative. In early 2012, I wanted to build my dream home kitchen. As an Executive Chef, my background was in culinary arts, not construction. However, I was determined and successfully turned my vision into reality, much to the delight of my wife and young sons, using the gorgeous new kitchen to dine, entertain and do homework! After a couple of years, I decided to leave the restaurant industry and started to focus on providing custom kitchen designs influenced by my background in the culinary arts.

I convinced my wife we needed to spend a small fortune to set up a workshop in our garage. I bought a planer, router, joiner, table saw, and dozens other tools. For months, I made sure to measure twice and cut once as I worked tirelessly to perfect my first knife rack, then my first cutting board and even my first island countertop.  From there, as they say, the rest is history…. Today, I am still obsessed with designing and constructing amazing kitchens, expanding on my love for wood to now include stone and brick.

From concept to completion, the result is always a functional space with distinctive design and one-of-a-kind craftsmanship that will thrill you for years to come. Providing the distinctive perspective that only a professional chef can offer, I am completely hands-on through the planning, design, and construction process, never sacrificing quality and craftsmanship, to ensure that the new kitchen will be your favorite room in your house!
